Judicial Reforms Committee, 1950-51; reported to the Government of India on the financial and other implications of the new State of Andhra, February 1953. Sole Member, Indore Firing Inquiry Commission, 1954; Chairman, Dholpur Succession Case Commission, 1955; Member, Law Commission, India 1955.Appointed as Chief Justice of India on 12.04.1967. Retired on 24.02.1968.
